It is an honor to have the opportunity to share my vision of what makes horses happy and healthy with horse owners like yourself. If you are browsing this site, you no doubt are already committed to the holistic care and well being of your horse. More than likely the path you have chosen in horse care has not always been appreciated by your fellow horse owners or horse care providers. You have probably questioned yourself on occasion and wondered if your instincts and motives were sound. The courage to buck the system and stand up for your horse's interests can be a lonely path.

What are you to believe when there is so much information out there? Everyone has an opinion, from your veterinarian to your best friend, about how you are supposed to care for your horse. Books, magazines, websites, and message boards all tout the latest, best things in horse care. The important question is, "What does your horse really want?"

As a holistic equine veterinarian I realize the need for resources through which horse and mule owners can learn about such basic issues as hoof care, equine nutrition and supplements, and general health. I hope my book will offer you the kind of information you need to make informed, empowered decisions for you and your horse.
